Summer Sessions delivers #IamRemarkable empowerment workshops

I am Remarkable training session

This summer, we felt that it was essential to make our staff feel even more valued than they have ever before. As part of our summer initiative named ‘Summer Sessions’ which provides activities for our staff to get involved, we partnered with Google to bring ‘#IamRemarkable’ Empowerment workshops; a training course that focuses on celebrating the achievements of women and underrepresented groups in the workplace.

With the success of the first two sessions proving evident, we wanted to take a step back and ask one of the attendees what they thought about the session. Uma Rama is one of our Healthcare Assistants in Main Outpatient and she expresses what the self-promoting workshop meant to her below.

Uma tells us her account of #IamRemarkable

Charity and supporting staff

A key focus of the Croydon Health Services Charitable Fund is supporting staff wellbeing and we’re excited that the Trust's Summer Sessions are being sponsored by our charity. If you’re planning on taking part in the events and want to share your appreciation for the charity, why not text SUMMER SESSIONS on 70085 to donate £5. In the coming months there will be even more ways our charity will be supporting staff, so please look out for details.

For more details on how you can get involved as a staff member or member of the public, please email our communications inbox here – chs.comms@nhs.net
