Charity thanks Surrey Masonic Sports Association for £2,000 donation
A charity golf day held at Farleigh Golf Club has raised £2,000 to help fund vital play facilities for the new Children’s Unit which will open at Croydon University Hospital in 2022.
The event marked the launch of a partnership between Surrey Freemasons and Croydon Health Services Charitable Fund to raise £65,000 towards the power of play fundraising appeal.
Laura Kennedy, Fundraising and Grants Manager, said:
“We were very proud to be the beneficiary for Surrey Masonic Sports Association’s annual charity golf day. Thank you to everyone who supported the event.
“We're delighted to be working in partnership with the Surrey Freemasons to bring the power of play to some of Croydon's sickest children.
“Together, we will support local communities by funding playgrounds, as well as other play and relaxation spaces dedicated to children receiving care at our new Children’s Unit.”
