Looking ahead: Annual General Meeting 2021
Ever wondered how you could find out what our Trust has been getting up to throughout the last year? At our Annual General Meeting on 22 September 2021, that’s exactly what was discussed.
Trust Chairman, Mike Bell, kicked things off with a look back at the year that has been far more challenging than most as health and care teams in Croydon went above and beyond to care for our community throughout COVID-19. By supporting our frontline clinicians to keep innovating, we opened a "hospital within a hospital" dubbed a blueprint for the NHS in the wake of a national health crisis.
Reviewing our achievements and progress throughout 2020/21, the Trust Board also discussed how we are continuing to enhance the quality and performance of our services in the borough and our ambitious plans to continue our improvement journey.
Our AGM included presentations from our staff who have worked on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic, including a very personal account from Medical Registrar, Hadia, who shared how the unfortunate passing of her father to COVID-19 inspired her to provide the utmost care possible to people in our community.
The event concluded with a Q&A and a special screening of ‘Our COVID Story’ a film that demonstrated how our staff rose to the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic.
