Croydon's Community Diagnostic Centres
Community diagnostic centres (CDCs) have been launched across the country as a ‘one stop shop’ for NHS testing, working to reduce long waits and provide wider access to the care you need.
Launching in January 2024, our Purley CDC enables us to offer additional diagnostic services for a wide range of patient's needs. As a result, we are able to issue specialist advice on diagnosis, reduce the length of time patients are waiting for care following a referral and provide increased access to essential health services to those who need it most.
Development for a second CDC in New Addington is currently underway and is due to open in June 2025.
Both locations were selected in an effort to help us reduce health inequalities by helping those who need our care most, ensuring it is more accessible to locals living in some of the areas that are harder to reach.
Our CDC has also enabled us to to provide additional diagnostic services across respiratory, cardiology and imaging, as well as providing health information tailored to the needs of our patients.
