Watch our workshops
The Croydon Children’s Occupational Therapy Team have created two comprehensive workshops aimed at parents and carers, which we think you will find very helpful. The workshops are split into accessible, bite-sized modules that you can access at your own convenience and watch as many times as you like.
The first workshop is 'Sensory Processing and How It Impacts on Everyday Activities'. The modules will provide an overview of what sensory processing is, the sensory systems, different approaches and practical advice to help your child (including sleep, dressing, toileting, toothbrushing, feeding). This is also a module that we would encourage your child’s nursery or school staff to watch.
The second workshop is 'Building Independence in Everyday Activities', which will cover how to teach skills to your child, the foundation skills required to learn everyday activities and practical advice on everyday activities (including handwriting, typing, scissors, cutlery, washing, dressing, toileting, balance, ball skills and bike riding).
