Consultants
The Teenage Pregnancy and Young People’s Sexual Health Outreach Team supports young people to stay healthy and safe when they are ready to become sexually active.
We aim to contribute to a reduction in teenage pregnancy in Croydon, and see improved sexual health in our young people. Recently released figures show a continued overall reduction in the number of teenage pregnancies in Croydon, bringing the figures to below the London and England averages.
What we do:
We deliver targeted sex and relationship education (SRE) in a range of schools and non-school settings.
We run seven sexual health clinics in targeted settings across the borough, including colleges.
We support professionals in their delivery of sex and relationship education in schools and youth settings.
We provide guidance and advice to professionals who support groups of teenage parents and teenage parents to be.
We campaign to reduce teenage pregnancy and improve sexual health in young people.
