Brief summary of the service
Children’s medical care is provided within the Rainbow Children’s Unit at Croydon University Hospital. The unit has both dedicated children's medical and surgical areas, as well as a Level 1 critical care unit.
In addition, the unit has an oncology unit with treatment spaces and rooms to provide care for children living with cancer.
The unit also houses facilities including a chill-out space for adolescents, play areas for toddlers and younger children and areas for parents and families to relax away from clinical areas. For more information about the Rainbow Children’s Unit please click here.
