The Renal service at Croydon University Hospital is provided by a joint team of Nephrologists some employed by this Trust and others visiting from our regional specialist centre at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust. The team provides 8 outpatient clinics a week managing every variety of renal disease and preparing patients who require dialysis and transplantation.

There is a large satellite dialysis unit based on the Main Trust site that staffed by nursing and medical teams from Epsom and St Helier Trust. This provides dialysis facilities for 140 Croydon residents. Another large unit has recently opened in Coulsdon to support the population in the South of the Borough.

In addition, the inpatient renal team support the rest of the hospitals medical and surgical teams in managing the care of inpatients with acute renal problems liaising with either intensive care or the regional renal unit when dialysis is required.
